I am not hungry
any more.
So why
do you keep feeding me
these pale,
wretched creatures
who scream
and writhe
and wail
when I burn
the flesh
from their bones?
Why
do you keep feeding me
their children
who will never know
the world,
only me?
I am God's shadow;
an angel
whose black wings seep
from the dark castle's tower.
I am a vibrant angel;
an evil angel.
I carry you
to heaven high
then return to my home
to devour
those pale,
wretched creatures.
I am God's shadow;
a demon
who dances with fiery glee
through Hell.
I am a caustic demon;
a hungry demon,
but
I am not hungry
any more.

I visited the Holocaust museum the other day.

This is a poem embodying the flames of the crematoriums.

Oh, my dear.. This is such a telling poem.
I've never been to the Holocaust Museum, but I really want to go. I feel like I would leave the place in tears, though. >>;;
Regardless, this poem is such a perfect embodiment of the crematoriums (from what I know from history class).

Leaving it in tears isn't necessarily a bad thing! It means you won't forget.
And thank you, I try my hardest. I'll probably write poems a few more on different Holocaust-related subjects so that I can be indecisive on which one to turn in to my English teacher.

Ah, true.
The Holocaust is such a strong subject to write about. The fact that you can capture such imagery is stunning. You better get a good grade, no matter what. xD
